Lets talk about sex

NOTE:
The new home of our blog will be www.inclusivelife.org/category/blog  beginning April 1, 2012.

Sex is not dirty.  Socially, most do not talk about it openly.  Yes, there are social boundaries, and YES it is good to communicate with each other about sex.  Not just when you want it or don’t want it but what you like and don’t like.  What feels good and what does not.  What you want to try and what scares you.  If you don’t share how you feel openly, honestly and truthfully how will your partner ever know how  you feel or what you want or what you would like to change?

In addition to feel good, regular, passionate sex can be beneficial for your health and thus prolong your life?  In fact, the "nicest side-line activity in the world" has numerous positive effects on our entire organism: The absorption of vitamins and the conductivity of our nerves is improved by the release of various health-promoting hormones during sex.
Sex  stimulates the entire circular flow as well as the oxygen supply and can even reduce stress hormones. On top of it, it is proven, that regular sex strengthens our immune system. The increased testosterone release among men strengthens bones, heart and the cardiovascular system and the chance of a heart attack or cerebral apoplexy is reduced. Furthermore, the risk of prostate diseases is diminished. Among women, the increased number of estrogens improves the regeneration of skin cells.

In addition to these physical impacts, there is a positive psychological effect: To have sex means that we get the confirmation that we are desired. This prevents depression and bad mood and strengthens our self confidence.

A healthy sex life can make a significant contribution to our health protection. The result: We feel longer young and vital - and by the way, this is often reflected in our physical appearance. It can be highly recommended to express sexuality and passion - in all phases of life.

Of course this applies only provided that both "parties" have equal rights, can express their personal beliefs and the "activity" takes place in mutual agreement.

We can be the change we seek in this world, and in ourselves.  One day.  One journey.  One person.  One passionate night at a time.
