Grief Part 1

I would like to share about a topic that is vast, dynamic and affects every single human being at some point(s) in their life: Grief.  What is grief?  Simply put, it is a reaction to a significant loss.  For most people, it is often an unpleasant and painful emotion (journey.)

I am going to share some general information, resources and thoughts about this topic.  It is something that can affect all of us, any of us, at any time (with or without notice!)

CAUSES OF GRIEF:
When someone says grief, most everyone assumes that it is relating to a death, and most often they are probably correct.  There are also many other topics that can be a root cause for grief; people can experience grief if they have an illness for which there is no cure, a separation, divorce or an end of a significant relationship, a loss of a beloved pet, a traumatic event within a relationship, a loss of a job or opportunity in which provided the total means of support of the family are just some of the examples that one may also be experiencing grief.

In the next few days I will share more about grief.  The one theme I have throughout this series is that everyone should remember that each person feels and experiences grief in their own way, on their own time, and it is different for every single person.

We can be the change we seek in this world. and in ourselves.  One day.  One journey.  One person.  One step at a time.
