Cleaning house

Too many phone calls
Too many text messages
Too many emails
Too many lunch plans
Too many dinner plans
Too many nights out

Not enough time with spouse
Not enough time with family
Not enough time with close friends
Not enough time with yourself
(quality time that is.)

Many useless things in our everyday lives needlessly take up space and also steal our attention and thus our energy. Do you sometimes feel guilty because you can’t really value all the things that have accumulated in your environment? If yes, it may be time to remove some of those barriers.  What is preventing you from having quality time for what is important?  What is “hogging” that time?

For all things you have not used for some time reflect whether you will use them at all in the near future. If your answer is a positive and honest "No", better sell the stuff or simply throw it away. Free yourself and regain air to breathe. - You will be surprised how good that feels.

And yes, this does include people.  No, people are not objects to be thrown away and yes there are times that you need to say good bye and move one.  Determine who and what is important in your life and focus on that.  Intentional.  Conscientious.  Authentic.

We can be the change we seek in this world, and in ourselves.  One day.  One journey.  One person.  One choice at a time.
