Your ladder

The saying the road to hell is paved with good intensions.  I was taught to believe that the road to heaven, or the roads in life are paved with good intensions… I do believe people get up each morning with good intensions for themselves and for others whom they come into contact with.  We all want to do a good job.  Which often requires us to plan.  Many of us don’t plan to fail; we just simple fail to plan.

Having an end in mind in what we are trying to accomplish will help a great deal, this could be in at work, home, in relationship, worship and...

It is easy for us to get caught up in life, work, family, friends, responsibilities, and volunteering only to realize where we thought the ladder was taking isn’t where we ended up, our ladder needed to be on another wall or path.

What I am talking about is simply planning, knowing where we are going, and where we need to be, instead of being bogged down with tunnel vision, busy work or life.

Our clear vision and plan for what we have in mind normally happens 1-2 times; once in our minds and then in reality.  Think of it as your own blue print.  If builders need these types of detailed instruction, guides and information don’t you think that it might be good idea for you too?

Knowing where you need to be or want to end up is an important step in anything you do.  It IS about preplanning, it is about visualizing it, and then building steps to get there.  It will help you make sure your ladder is on the correct wall!

We can be the change we seek in this world. and in ourselves.  One day.  One journey.  One person.  One ladder at a time.
