Hungry

As we enter the time of gift giving, meal sharing and that time of year that generosity and gift giving is at an all time year high, I would like to suggest to you where to share some of your treasure…  YOUR local food pantry.

Many areas, like the Metro Omaha area have been hit by local disasters (flooding), other with tornados, extremely high or under employment which is leaving local pantries with VERY empty shelves, which isn’t good any time of the year, but also during this time of year with inclement weather, economic conditions, high unemployment and other contributing factors.

Several thoughts here.  When you go to the store, buy one bag of nonperishable items to drop of at a pantry (consider doing this for each of your visits throughout Nov-Dec-Jan).  Make a donation of cash.  Make a donation of time.  Put a food drive together.  Assist your younger family members to head up a food drive!

In the Omaha area here is a small list to get started…
