Transgender Day of remembrance

In 1969 at a bar in NY Sylvia Rivera had enough. Today we know the Stonewall riots set into motion a large LGBT movement that has not stopped. we give thanks for this transgender person who helped us to be where we are today.  Today I observe Transgender Day of remembrance.

"May you grow up to be righteous,
May you grow up to be true,
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you.
May you always be courageous,
Stand upright and be strong..."
