“I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.” I understand that life is often difficult, not fair and requires a great deal of effort at times. I understand that life is often beautiful, rewarding and allows me to experience so many great things. I understand that I will get out of the day, what I put into it.
