2013 Week 26

I am sharing one photo each week and one word that represents what I am grateful for.

GRATEFUL WORD:
Vigilance. On June 26th, the United States Supreme Court cited that DOMA violated Due Process of the Fifth Amendment.  The Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) was created under the leadership of President George W. Bush, aimed at preventing same-sex couples from marrying or being recognized by the Federal Government.  With DOMA being struck down, this clears the way for being one step closer to equality in this country.  A long hard fight it has been so far.  The next step will be to rid the constitutional amendments that states  have specifically preventing same sex marriages, unions, or recognizing ANY type of same-sex relationship.  With about 1/3 of the states offering same-sex marriages, with DOMA gone it is thought that many now will alter or enact laws to provide them in their state.  I am vigilant that in my lifetime equality for all LGBT people will be achieved, and no longer will they have to suffer without the over 1,200 laws and benefits that apply to those who are able to get married.

Further, I understand that same-sex marriage may not fit what some churches, organized religions, and faiths call marriage.  And since we are a secular nation, one without a national religion, I certainly at peace with that.

About the writer…
Royal D. Bush was born and raised in the Omaha metro area raised in a single parent family, with his Mother Mildred.  His first many years of life were spent in Bellevue, where he and his mother attended church at the First Baptist Church of Bellevue.  Eventually Omaha became home, where as a young adult, Royal began attending various worship services with friends and family before finally calling MCC Omaha his home, where he went on to serve as Minister of Hospitality.

In 2009, Royal founded Inclusive Life Pastoral Services; a Nebraska, nonprofit, multifaith based organization that offers care and services to individuals, couples and families who are not a part of church, organized religion, or have a religious belief.  He is ordained and serves as a Chaplain.  Inclusive Life serves all without exception, religious and nonreligious.  He continues to share his belief and message that “You are beautiful, you are loved and you are worthy, just the way you are.  You are not alone.”

Omaha Essential Oils

Each Wednesday I will share information and updates about Aromatherapy, Omaha Essential Oils, and Meditation that is offered at Inclusive Life (37th and Leavenworth.)

I just returned from Salt Lake City for the Young Living Convention.  It was amazing to be with over 3,500 people who represent the Young Living products in over 5 countries!

NEW FACEBOOK PAGE.  www.facebook.com/omahaessentialoils New fresh content added three times each week.  New photos and great updates.

We will be offering Essential Oil Cafe's each month at Inclusive Life.  A chance for you to experience with your own hands, nose, body and spirit how essential oils can help you live a more healthier and less toxic life.

Speaking of essential oils... lets chat about Lavender...  The ONE essential oil that everyone should have.

Aching Muscles.  If you’ve spent a back-breaking afternoon in the garden, jump into a lavender bath to soothe aches & pains away. Apply Epsom salts & a few drops of Lavender Oil to the bath and soak away the tension.
Acne.  Lavender is one of the most valuable oils for the treatment of acne, according to aromatherapists. “It inhibits the bacteria that cause the skin infection, helps to rebalance the over-secretion of sebum, which the bacteria thrive on, and reduce scarring”. Add a few drops of lavender oil to a plain cream sold by chemists and use as a moisturizer or cleanser.
Bugs & Bacteria.  French laboratory studies in the early 20th century showed that lavender is a powerful antibacterial in dilutions of 5 per cent or less it is lethal to bacteria that cause typhoid, TB & diphtheria. Combined with Lemon Balm, for its clinically tested anti-viral properties.
Burns (minor).  After you have cooled the area by immersing it in running cold water for 5 minutes, gently stroke on neat lavender oil. Pain relief is almost immediate, and burn usually heals without scarring.
Cuts & Wounds.  Apply lavender oil to sooth pain, prevent bacterial infection and aid scar-free healing. Apply neat.

Omaha Essential Oils

Each Wednesday I will share information and updates about Aromatherapy, Omaha Essential Oils, and Meditation that is offered at Inclusive Life (37th and Leavenworth.)

An easy check of many sites, books and references each reveals a similar answer:  Essential oils are concentrated hydrophobic liquids containing volatile aroma compounds from plants.  Oil is "essential" in the sense that it carries a distinctive scent, or essence, of the plant (much like blood is to humans.)

SHARING NEWS!
As of July 1st, 2013 we are excited to share that we will offer Zyto Compass Assessments.  For those who use Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils, those who are interested in using natural and organic; supplements, skin products, nutrition products and better living products the Zyto Compass Assessment is something for you to try.  Beginning July 1st, 2013 Essential Oils Omaha (Inclusive Life) will offer the Zyto Compass Assessment.

The Zyto Compass Assessment is as easy as placing your hand on a cradle for about 5-6 minutes while it checks and monitors 76 points in your hand that provide bio-feedback (brainwaves, muscle tone, skin conductance, heart rate and pain perception)

This feedback is provided to you in a written report that you can take with you.  It clearly demonstrates areas in your body that have a high preference for the need to be changed.  Once aligned, you can have a new assessment completed every 2 months to keep up on changes and progress you have made.

2013 Week 24

I am sharing one photo each week and one word that represents what I am grateful for.

GRATEFUL WORD:
DETERMINATION  No mater what.  Do not give up.  You can do it.
Below is a photo of Jonny, Anita, Beth and myself.  Anita just graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education.  We are so very proud of her.  Despite moving a few times, financial struggles, and just before graduating; having not one but TWO surgeries to implant a pacemaker.  SHE DID IT!  She was determined, and dammit she did it!  Never, ever give up.

THIS WEEKS TOPIC…
One of the wonderful ways to utilize Thieves® essential oil blend is through the power of cold-air diffusion. Diffusing is simply dispersing essential oils into the air in very fine molecules, so that the air you breathe is purified and oxygenated. It's an ideal way to help relieve tension, dispel odors, kill germs and create an environment of peace and harmony in home or office.

A cold-air diffuser disperses the oils without heating them, thereby retaining their therapeutic benefits. But of even greater concern over the past 20 years is the emergence of environmental toxins and microbial bacteria that permeate the home, the classroom, the office and the marketplace. These unseen invaders can be found at the root of many chronic diseases and most families are unaware that they are easily eliminated by diffusing essential oils. Let's listen-in to a discussion between Radio Show Personality Joyce Riley and Healthline Coach Teri Secrest as they discuss the power of diffusing the Thieves® Blend:

THE END OF TOXIC BLACK MOLD

Scientific discoveries over the last decade revealed that Thieves® Blend excels in the complete eradication of toxic black mold. In 2005, Edward Close, PhD, a mold remediation consultant with 30 years experience in the environmental industry, was asked to do a third-party sampling for mold in an apartment complex that had been flooded, evacuated, and later put up for sale. The buyer who was renovating the apartments had hired a company which used the strongest solution available - a hospital disinfectant. Yet Dr. Close's sampling from that treatment showed that either the product had not killed the mold or that the mold had already re-established itself. However, when Dr. Close diffused Young Living Thieves® Blend under the same controlled conditions, the results were nothing short of amazing.

In one instance, 10,667 stachybotrys mold spores were identified in a per cubic meter area. After diffusing Thieves® essential oil for 48 hours, Dr. Close retested. Only thirteen stachybotrys remained. Similarly, 75,000 stachybotrys mold spores were identified in a sample of sheetrock. After 72 hours of diffusing, no stachybotrys mold spores remained. (Stachybotrys has a reputation for being the most toxic mold.) And the mold did not re-establish itself because the Thieves® continued to work for quite a while after diffusing.

THE END OF CONTAGIOUS GERMS
Diffusing essential oils will also create an infectious-free zone within your home to protect your loved ones from contagion. Breathing air diffused with essential oils attacks any virus or bacteria lining the respiratory tract which may have been inhaled outside of the infectious-free zone, whether it be the workplace, classroom or shopping mall. It also keeps the infection from spreading to other family members. Even if you haven't been exposed to cold-and-flu germs, diffusing essential oils oxygenates the air while eliminating odors and stagnant breathing spaces.

Omaha Essential Oils is building inventory so you can pick up your essential oils and products today, instead of having to order and wait for several days or a week!

2013 Week 23

I am sharing one photo each week and one word that represents what I am grateful for.

GRATEFUL WORD: CONNECTIONS
This weekend I was honored to attend the wedding ceremony of Ben and Maria; friends, mentors and family at First Unitarian Church of Omaha.  It was positively interesting to see the MANY connections I have with other people with Ben and Maria that I didn't know where there.  I was humbled and proud to be asked to share some words from the heart for the two of them during the ceremony.  My heart is full when I see these two together.  Maria brought me to tears when she "sang" her vows to Ben...

Omaha Essential Oils

Young Living Frankincense

Each Wednesday I will share experiences and information about Aromatherapy, Essential Oils and Meditation that I offer at Inclusive Life right here in Omaha at 37th and Leavenworth.

An easy check of many sites, books and references each reveals a similar answer:  Essential oils are concentrated hydrophobic liquids containing volatile aroma compounds from plants.  An oil is "essential" in the sense that it carries a distinctive scent, or essence, of the plant (much like blood is to humans.)

YOUNG LIVING FRANINCENSE
Frankincense is one of the oldest essential oils and is used primarily in meditation to improve inner balance. Considered the “holy anointing oil” in the Middle East, frankincense has been used in religious ceremonies for thousands of years. It was well known during the time of Christ and was one of the gifts given to Christ at his birth. Anciently, the Chinese used frankincense to support overall health.

Today, frankincense is still used worldwide for both its ceremonial and dietary use. Frankincense can be used topically, as a dietary supplement, or diffused.
Primary Benefits

• Increases spiritual awareness and enhances meditation
• Calms and soothes the body and mind
• Comforting properties for mental balance
• Excellent support for skin health*
• Stimulating and elevating aroma

Who Should Use Frankincense Essential Oil?
• Anyone looking to enhance his/her spirituality and meditation
• Those looking to uplift their mood or improved their attitude

Suggested Use
• Dietary: Dilute 1 drop with 4 drops of V-6 Vegetable Oil Complex. Put in a capsule and take 1 capsule before each meal or as desired.
• Topical: Apply 2–4 drops directly to desired area, charkas, and Vita Flex points.
• Aromatic: Inhale directly or diffuse up to 1 hour 3 times daily.
